Dušan Simonović, President of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee, was a guest of Radio Television of Montenegro (RTCG) at the Sports Assembly of the European Broadcasting Union, held in Budva. At the assembly, hosted by RTCG for the first time, discussions covered current sports topics, trends in the production of major sports events, and the financial impact of sports activities on public broadcasters. President Simonović highlighted the importance of sports for national broadcasters worldwide. He said that sports serve as a unifying force and bring together diverse audiences, fostering a sense of national pride and identity. "Sports events are the cornerstone of programming for broadcasters, increasing viewership and engagement across all demographic groups. Broadcasting major sports events provide entertainment, promotes healthy lifestyles, and showcases our athletes' achievements on the global stage. This symbiotic relationship between sports and media is crucial for inspiring future generations and promoting values of excellence, teamwork, and perseverance," Simonović emphasised. The assembly was attended by over 100 representatives from various European public broadcasters.
