GSSE 2019 Medals (Day 1): Luxembourg leads the race

Luxembourg athletes won the most medals on the first day of the Games of the Small States of Europe. They won 16 medals out of which five were gold, six were silver and five bronze.

Second placed is Monaco with 15 medals (five gold, four silver and six bronze), followed by Liechtenstein with five gold, one silver and one bronze medal.

Montenegrin athletes won three gold and two bronze medals.

Cyprus won two golds, five silver and two bronze medals. Finally, Iceland won one gold, one silver and four bronze medals.

There were no gold medals on the first day of GSSE for the athletes from Malta (won three silver and bronze medals), San Marino (one silver and two bronze medals) and Andorra (two bronze medals).
