Delegates of the European Olympic Committee (EOC) Assembly, held in Marbella (Spain), supported and accepted the progress report on the organization of the Games of the Small States of Europe (GSSE), held from May 27 to June 1 in Montenegro.

The report was presented to the delegates by Igor Vusurovic, director of GSE  "Montenegro 2019" and Boris Sekulic, Project Manager of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee.

Montenegrin Olympic Committee’s President Dusan Simonovic said that EOC Assembly members were introduced by a very effective presentation of the work that has been done, as well as the obligations that are expecting us by the end of May 2019.

"It was a really successful performance, as witnessed by a long friendly applause and the wishes by all those present that the Games in Montenegro in 2019 succeed. We recieved offers for all kinds of help from our friends from small states of Europe and surrounding countries", said Dusan Simonovic.

"We also took this opportunity to have discussions with everyone who is important to us for the event that is expecting us next year, especially with the head people of the IOC and EOC, who confirmed their attendance at the Games as well as specific forms of assistance", concluded Simonovic..

Simonovic, Vusurovic and Sekulic also met with the President of the Technical Commission of the GSSE Jean-Pierre Schoebel.

EOC Assembly also included presentations of the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020, European Games in Minsk 2019, EYOF 2019, as well as the report of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
