Olympic scholarships to judokas Pantic and Gardasevic

Montenegrin judokas Danilo Pantic and Nikola Gardasevic signed a contract in the Montenegrin Olympic Committee today, by which they will be granted a scholarship from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in the upcoming period.

The Montenegrin Olympic Committee (MOC), through the Olympic Solidarity Fund of the IOC, has provided our athletes with the "Tokyo 2020" scholarship, aiming to support their efforts towards ensuring the Olympic qualifying standards necessary for their participation at the Olympic Games 2020 in the capital of Japan.

"Here in the Montenegrin Olympic Committee, we are certain that these are extraordinary athletes, who have proven by their quality that they can rightfully expect considerable results in the upcoming period, and we believe that they will be able to take part at the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020." said the President of MOC Dusan Simonovic.

Expressing gratitude to the MOC and President Dusan Simonovic, both Pantic and Gardasevic stated that they are convinced their results will justify MOC's expectations in the following period and that they will come to be a part of our country's Olympic team at the Tokyo Games.

Besides Pantic and Gardasevic, the scholarships, in the amount of 670 USD per month, are also provided for: karatekas Marina Rakovic and Mario Hodzic, tennis player Danka Kovinic, sailor Milivoj Dukić, and athletes Sladjana Perunovic, Kristina Rakocevic and Marija Vukovic.
