GSSE San Marino 2017: A gold, two silvers and four bronzes on Day 3

One gold medal, brought by athlete Ljiljana Matovic, two silvers in table tennis, and four bronzes (three in athletics and one in archery), is the final score of the Montenegrin athletes on the third day of competition at the Games of the Small States of Europe San Marino.

After the third day, Montenegro has a total of 22 medals – nine gold, four silver and nine bronze medals.

Athletics

Ljiljana Matovic won gold in long jump with a score of five meters and 64 centimeters.

Her colleagues from the athletics team finished their competition with bronze medals.

After six gold medals in the previous three editions of this event, Sladjana Perunovic was third in a race of 10 thousand meters.

Third place was also won by Ivan Kukulicic in the discus throw and Kristina Rakocevic in shot put.

Table Tennis

Both men and women table tennis players lost their double finals.

Luka Bakic and Filip Radovic were defeated by a pair from Monaco, while Ivona Petric and Snezana Culafic lost against their rivals from Luxembourg.

Shooting

Montenegrin shooting representative, Andjela Milickovic, won the bronze in the Air Rifle discipline at 10 meters, with a score of 218.1 points.

In the same discipline Nemanja Obradovic finished fifth, while Milos Bozovic was seventh.

Archery

Archerers Milan Borovic and Mina Sibalic both finished their performances in the eight-finals of individual competition.

Borovic and Sibalic will fight for the bronze medal tomorrow, in the competition of mixed pairs against Iceland.

Swimming

Our swimmer Bosko Radulovic was sixth, while Jovana Terzic finished the final race in 50 m Freestyle in eighth place.

Radulovic finished his final race in 24.42 seconds, while Terzic swam her 50-meter race in 27.90 seconds.

Basketball

The basketball players disappointed everyone, as they were defeated by Cyprus 81:71 and probably lost a chance for a gold medal.

Beach volleyball

Volleyball players Andrej Bojic and Marko Bagaric lost the third match, this time from the duo from Luxembourg 2:1.
