Former President of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee, Dusan Simonovic, who was the only presidental candidate, will stay on this function for the next four years, as it was decided today at the Fourth Regular Assembly and Electoral Convention of MOC. Simonovic has received the unanimous support of the delegates, and has been elected by secret ballot on the proposal of the 12 national sports federations (athletics, cycling, boxing, water polo and swimming, gymnastics, wrestling, handball, taekwondo, archery, table tennis, tennis and ski association of Montenegro) whose sports are a part of the official program of the Olympic Games. President of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee, Dusan Simonovic has, after the election, expressed gratitude to delegates for their unequivocal support, with a remark that the last four years were a period of great success for Montenegrin sport and thus the success of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee. "We tried to keep up, in sense of organization, with what are the demands of our sport. Seems to me that we have done well, thanks to the dedication and hard work of a small professional team of MOC, the good work of the Executive Board, and outstanding cooperation with the International Olympic Committee and state authorities of Montenegro and with the support of national sport federations and all of our sponsors. "
