For the second time in a row our best water polo team was defeated in the battle for an Olympic bronze – as in Beijing four years ago, again our selection lost against Serbia – 12:11. Games in London could have had a happy ending – six minuted before the end of the game "sharks" had the lead 11:8, and it seemed that nothing could prevent this great generation of players to complete a four-year cycle with a medal. What followed, however, was a huge turnover, the opponent has scored four goals, and our team scored none till the end, although it had an extra player twice in the last minute. In the latest attack, our water polo players hit the frame of the goal twice. A great opportunity has been missed, coach Ranko Perović has been staring in one dot for a long time, Aleksandar Ivović and Toni Petrović could not hide their tears, the assistant coach Vido Lompar cried as well, others with tears in their eyes have left the pool. Grief up to the sky, although this second consecutive semi-final of the Olympic tournament was a great success.
