At today's session of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee were adopted amendments to the Statutes of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee, adjusted to the new Law on Sport of Montenegro. As the statute provides, full-fledged members of MOC are branch sports associations of Montenegro registered in accordance with Montenegrin Law on Sports, who are members of the international sports federations responsible for sports included in the Olympic Games program. Associated members of MOC are sports federations of Montenegro registered in accordance with Montenegrin Law on sports are not included in the Olympic Games program, whose international federation is recognized by IOC and the General Association of International Sports Federations (AGFIS). The novelty of the statute is that the delegates will have a four-year mandate, and they will also have to sign a statement of acceptance of the Olympic principles and the Statutes of MOC. The adopted amendments to the Statute provide that a candidate for the President of MOC must be suggest from at least three National Associations of Olympic sports, in writing. Unanimously was adopted report on MOC activities between two Assemblies and report on the preparation of Montenegrin athletes for participation in the forthcoming Olympic Games in London. Members of the Assembly were informed that the shooter Nikola Šaranović received a letter of invitation to participate in the Games in London, and thus joined Srdjan Mrvaljevic, Sladjana Perunović and Montenegrin water polo team, who have previously ensured their participation in the Olympic Games. Assembly congratulated all athletes who have provided the participation in the Olympic Games on the results achieved and the support of their preparations programs for participation in the world’s biggest sport event. Besides that, expectations were expressed that women's handball team will win the fight for qualification for the Olympic Games and several other athletes competing in individual sports, with the belief that Montenegrin sports delegation at the Games in London will be more numerous than it was in Beijing. The Assembly supported speedy recovery and continued success in career to shooter Mrkajic Dragan, candidate for participation in the Olympic Games, which recently suffered a serious car accident. The Assembly considered and unanimously approved the final account of MOC for 2011, and the financial plan for 2012. According to new MOC Statutes, in accordance with the Law on Sport, Arbitration for resolution of disputes in sports is set up as an autonomous and independent body. Arbitration has 11 members and is composed of lawyers, athletes and sports officials. For its members were elected: Vesna Medenica, Branislav Radulovic, Vesna Simovic, Vanja Mugoša, Vlado Vukovic, Aleksandar Djurisic, Mladen Ivanovic, Ljubisa Miskovic, Radomir Nastic, Veljko Uskokovic and Vlado Scepanovic. President of MOC Dusan Simonovic said that the aim of establishing Arbitration is to resolve disputes that arise in sports in the sports institutions. Archery Association of Montenegro was unanimously accepted into full membership of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee. Following the decision of the Assembly, request of Montenegrin Association of auto motor sport clubs (CGSAMSK) for admission to MOC, was sent to arbitration with the recommendation that this request should be resolved as soon as possible. The decision of Arbitration on this issue will be verified by the Executive Board of MOC under the authority of the Assembly. Out of a total of 65 representatives of national federations, 45 delegates attended MOC Assembly.
