Well known Austrian winter sports center Innsbruck will be host of the first winter Youth Olympic Games from 13. to 22. January, where Montenegro will be represented by skier Milena Radojičić, who will compete in alpine disciplies, slalom and grand slalom. Members of Montenegrin delegation are also Marina Kosić and sports director of MOC, Predrag Marsenić who will be Chef de Mission. At the first winter Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck will compete more than 1000 athletes, aged between 14 and 18, in seven Olympic sports – skiing, ice skating, hockey on ice, bob sledge, sledding, biathlon and curling, sports that will be also at the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi 2014. Organizers announced that in Innsbruck, as well as at the first Youth Olympic Games in Singapore, athletes will compete in mixed teams in some disciplines, also in teams composed of representatives from more countries. Through interactive workshops, participants will have an opportunity to find out more about the Olympic value, fair play, fight against doping and discrimination, importance of exercising sport and healthy way of living. International Olympic Committee will try to inform young athletes about the Olympic values through parallel program concept of sport, culture and education, and to contribute to personal and sport development of the participants of the Games. Promoters and ambassadors of the first winter Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck are alpine skier Lindsey Vonn, skater Yuna Kim and skier Benjamin Reich.
