Delegation of the British Embassy headed by H.E. Catherine Knight-Sands visited today Montenegrin Olympic Committee. This meeting was organized following the initiative of MOC President, Dušan Simonović and represents beginning of cooperation in joint obligations within preparations for the Olympic Games in London. Apart from technical details regarding travel organization for Montenegrin athletes and everybody else who plan to visit London next year, both sides are planning activities for promotion of the Games, host city and Olympic values, therefore was expresses interest for closer cooperation in this area. Forthcoming Olympic Games are great opportunity for Montenegrin public to know better Great Britain and London, British tradition and culture. As Ambassador Knight-Sands informed, the Embassy and the British Council are already working on projects and in these promotional activities they expect support from the Montenegrin Olympic Committee. President Simonović and Chef de Mission Igor Vušurović informed the Ambassador about obligations and procedures awaiting MOC in the future period regarding preparations for participation of Montenegro at the Games in 2012. In order to define specific types of cooperation and support necessary in these occasions, for the next week is scheduled meeting between related departments of the British Embassy and MOC.
