Today in Austrian sport-tourist center Innsbruck were opened first Winter Youth Olympic Games after the spectacular Opening ceremony where defiled 1059 athletes from 70 world countries, in presence of large number of high officials. Participation of famous musicians and folk ensembles in traditional costumes that showed part of Austrian tradition was followed by attractive acrobatics of snow-boarders and skiers, and everything was well combined with modern dances close to the participants of the Games. Since Innsbruck was already host of the Winter Olympic Games twice, three Olympic flames were lit by Austrian legends of alpine skiing: Egon Zimmermann for the Games in 1964 and Franz Klammer, Olympic champion from 1974. Honor to light the flame of the first Winter Youth Olympic Games had Paul Gerstgraser, Austrian competitor in Nordic combination and one of the best youth athletes in winter sports. At the Winter Youth Olympic Games will compete athletes aged between 15 and 18, and Montenegro will be represented by Milena Radojičić who will compete in alpine skiing in slalom and grand slalom.
