Last night (Sunday, 24.07.) in Turkish town Trabzon, was opened 11th European Youth Olympic Festival where will compete over 3000 athletes from all European countries. At the spectacular Opening ceremony, in front of 25000 viewers, apart from the members of EYOF Organizational Committee, also were present Prime Minister of Turkey and several ministers from the Turkish Government, the President and high officials of the European Olympic Committees. At the Opening Ceremony was also present representative of the Montenegrin Embassy in Turkey, Mr. Asmir Spahić, who visited our athletes at the Olympic Village before the Opening Ceremony and wished for successful participation at EYOF. At EYOF in Trabzon, Montenegrin delegation consists of 24 members, including athletes born in 1995. and 1996. Our country will be represented by male basketball team, athlete Milica Vukadinović, swimmer Alen Dervišević, tennis player Pavle Rogan and judoka Balša Sinanović. First to compete will be tennis player Pavle Rogan (Monday) who will play against French representative Nguyen Yohanom, and cadet basketball team of Montenegro will play against Serbia in group phase of the competition. In our group, besides Serbia are Turkey and Latvia. Tomorrow (Tuesday, 26.07.) in the discus finals will compete athlete Milica Vukadinović.
