Elected new President of the Small States of Europe Association At the General Assembley and the Executive Board meeting of the Games of the Small Sates of Europe Association, new President was elected. It is Marc Theisen, President of the Olympic Committee of Luxembourg, host of the 2013. Games. Two years later host will be Icelan and than San Marino. President of Montenegrin Olympic Committe, Dušan Simonović was elected for the member of the Executive Board and mandate of the Chef de Mission in Lichtenstein Igor Vušurović was extended in the Techical Commission of this Association. Montenegro will host the Games in 2019. ? President of Montenegrin Olympic Committee, Dušan Simonović got confirmation from all eight presidents of the Olympic Committees whose athletes are competing at the Games of the Small States of Europe that in case our country candidates for the host in 2019, it will be supported. It is great idea, realistically achievable, and president Simonović told us that he will officially present this idea about organising such an event to governing bodies of our county. -I spoke to my colleagues, and I will officially present this idea to governing bodies of our country and the possibility to candidate Montenegro for the host of the Games in 2019. There is a big possibility to do that, but we must prepare and make quality presentation. Without any doubt, this would be big sport event for Montenegro, said Simonović.- We still have to discuss this at the General Assembly in Moscow in November, but I got strong assurance that Montenegro will be supported being the new member of this Association. We should make consultations, talk through possibilities of the venue of the Games and finally with such aídea to show up infront of the General Assemby and the Executive Board. President Simonović attended today meeting of the sport Ministers of the Small States of Europe. During the day, together with the Chef de Mission Igor Vušurović he was at the reception organised by the Prince. Marija with the flag Last night was held official opening of the Games. Presidents of nine Olympic Committees, including the Presidnet of MOC Dušan simonović were there, including Chefs de Mission, delegations, and Prince Alber managet to give his support and greet his competitors despite the F1 race to be held in Monaco. The Games were opened by the Princ, Hans Adam of Lichtenstein. At the opening ceremony was also present mr Jacques Rogge, president of the International Olympic Committee.
