With regard to participation at the Games of the Small States of Europe, Igor Vušurović, Chef de Mission held a meeting today with representatives of sports associations that will represent Montenegro in Lichtenstein. At the meeting were introduced information and defined details related to participation of our athletes at the Games. XIV Games of the Small States of Europe „LieGames 2011“, will be held from 30th May to 4th June 2011 in Lichtenstein. Participants will be all 9 countries members of the Association: Malta, Cyprus, San Marino, Monaco, Island, Lichtenstein, Luxembourg, Andorra and Montenegro. On the program are competitions in 9 sports (athletics, cycling, judo, shooting, squash, swimming, table tennis, tennis, volleyball), and it was expected that more than 800 athletes will compete. For the first time, Montenegrin athletes will participate at the Games of the Small Staes of Europe. Our athletes will compete in four sports: athletics – Marija Vuković (high jump), Danilo Ristić (discus throw and shot put), Slađana Perunović (5000m, 10000m); tennis: Ljubomir Čelebić; table tennis: Irfan Čekić, Luka Bakić, Sunčica Rogić and Snežana Ćulafić and men senior national team in volleyball.. Our delegation travels to Lichtenstein on 29th May. Opening ceremony will be held on 30th May at the Rainpark Stadium in Vuduz.
