OUR TEAMS: ATHLETES, JUDISTS AND TENNIS PLAYERS European Youth Olympic Festival in Finland Today, in Finnish city Tampere will be officially opened European Youth Olympic Festival. This competition is traditionally organized under patronage of European Olympic Committee every two years and gathers few thousands of participants. In this European youth festival, Montenegro will have its representatives. Our country will be represented in Finland by ten competitors – four in athletics and judo and two in tennis. Right to compete have competitors born between 1993. and 1995. EYOF (European Youth Olympic Festival) will gather more than 3000 competitors. In such competition Montenegrin national team members will have difficult tasks to achieve good results and good placement. From our competitors in athletics will compete Darko Pešić (long jump and triple jump), Danijel Furtula (disc and shot put), Arben Mekić (800 meters race) and Ljiljana Matović (long jump and 100 m race). In judo tournament will compete Vuk Nikčević (up to 50 kg), Ivan Raičević (up to 55 kg), Rijad Dedejić (up to 81 kg) and Tanja Božović (up to 63 kg). In tennis will compete Danka Kovinić and Ivan Saveljić – individual and in double mix. With them will be coaches Nikola Ristić (athletics), Omer Nurković (judo) and Balša Milošević (tennis). Montenegrin Chef de Mission is Dimitrije Rašović, current president of Tennis Association of Montenegro, and deputy Chef de Mission in Finland will be Predrag Marsenić. In next ten days, lots of young athletes from the old continent will compete in Tampere, and among them will be small team of Montenegrin representatives.
