On 12th and 13th May, Montenegrin Olympic Committee hosted meeting of 12 representatives from National Olympic Committees from Middle and East Europe, held in Hotel „Maestral„ in Pržno. At the meeting were present Presidents and Secretary Generals of Olympic Committees from Serbia, Croatia, Turkey, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Romania, Macedonia, Albania, Poland and Montenegro. „I think that overall summaries are positive. Guests are satisfied with our organization and I think we passed the test. We expect future activities and everything that comes along with Olympic story“, said the President of Montenegrin Olympic Committee, Dušan Simonović. „Our wish was to gather before big seminar of European Olympic Committee and we managed to fulfill this ambition. We had lots of topics to talk about, some priorities, and experiences which were used and in any case are necessary, especially for us, being young Olympic Committee“, added Simonović. In Pržno, word was about finances, invested financial means for the Beijing Olympic Games, about how much will be invested for WOG in Vancouver next year and other competitions organized under the Olympic flag. One of the topics was also forthcoming conference of Mediterranean Olympic Committees, to be held in Pescara, city host of the next Mediterranean Games.
