Videtič visits Simonović

During this meeting conclusion was that there is great potential in further development of relations between two countries, especially in area of sport. In that sense, several possibilities were precised.

Ambassador Videtič expressed readiness of Slovenian side for cooperation and assistance in development of winter sports, especially nordic ski. With aim improve and affirm sport as one of important elements for development of tourism, Slovenia is interested for investing in north of Montenegro, especially in Kolašin and Žabljaku.

Videtič stressed that Slovenian kayakers, foolowing Slovenian rowers who prepare for years in Boka bay during winter, will be more than happy to use opportunities offered by north of Montenegro for preparations in fast waters. It was also mentioned possibility of investing in equestrian sports in Montenegro by Slovenian side, and agreed visit of President of Slovenian Associatoin of Equestrian Sports to Montenegro, on basisi of already established contacts.

Simonović said that it is of great importance for development of Montenegrin sport to include assistance of Slovenian experts.

Topic of this meeting was also liberalisation of visa regime between two countries, in a way that procedure for visa issuance for our athletes should be our athletes should be facilitated.

Simonović reminded of important assistance from Slovenian Olympic Committee and its President, Janez Kocijančić during preparation process for acceptance of Montenegrin Olympic Committee in the International Olympic Committee.
