The MOC has become full time member of the International Committee for the Mediterranean Games

On Saturday, 27th October the Montenegrin Olympic Committee has become full time member of the International Committee for the Mediterranean Games (ICMG – International Committee for the Mediterranean Games), on the session of the General Assembly of that association, held in Pescara (Italy).

President of the MOC, Dušan Simonović, and Secretary General, Đorđije Kustudić attended both the Session and the ceremony.

The MOC has received unanimous support from all present members member of the International Committee for the Mediterranean Games General Assembly (ICMG), and it needed three quarters majority votes.

This means that Montenegro will have its representatives on next Mediterranean games to be held in Pescara from 26th June to 5th July 2009.

They will compete with athletes from Albania, Algeria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus, Croatia, Egypt, France, Greece, Italy, Lebanon, Libia, Malta, Morocco, Monaco, San Marino, Serbia, Siria, Slovenia, Spain, Tunis and Turkey.

President and the Secretary Genaral of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee, Dušan Simonović and Đorđije Kustudić, had several important meetings in Pescara with influential representatives from European Olympic Movement institutions. They spoke with the Secretary General of the European Olympic Committee, Raffaele Pagnozzi. Also, long term bilateral cooperation with the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) was agreed in regards to some joint prijects. Otherwise, this is one of the most influential Nationa Olympic Committe, which has more than 1.000 emplyees.
