From new web site to education

Secretary General, Đorđije Kustudić, and Vice President Andrija Popović, represented Montenegrin Olympic Committee on the Meeting of 13 National Olympic Committees from Central and South East European countries, held in Bucharest from 28. to 30. September.

This is regular, fourth meeting of NOC representatives from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Croatia, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia, Turkey and Chech Republic. During the meeting, new, common web site of all National Olympic Committees from these countries www.sport-exchange.org which is, although unfinished, already in function. Through this web site all relevant information will be exchanged, both common and individual activities of National Olympic Committees.
Kustudić kaže da je na sastanku razgovarano o mnogim aspektima saradnje.

Slovenian Olympic Committee had an idea for startin new project "e-learning", for active top athletes. Word is about acquiring academic degrees through internet, since it was noticed negative educational flow among this category of athletes. Following this proposal, athletes could choose higher or high education, since Universities of these countries are connected to Bologna declaration, and in this case Nationa Olympic Committees would be coordinators in this issue and connection with Universities in their country.

It was agreed that National Olympic Committees of these 13 countries should send joint letter to the President of the International Olympic Committee Jacques Rogge and Organsational Committee (BOCOG) in Beijing. Namely, smaller NOCs, as those whose representatives gathered in Bucharest, BOCOG provided only 5 percent of requested tickets for the opening and closing ceremony of the 2008. Games. With this kind of tickets sale, sponsors of National Olympic Committees can't be included, and their financial support is very important.
Kustudić said that the MOC, being recognised by the IOC only at the beginning of July, has send this request with delay comparing to others, and that the answer from Beijing is expected.
Next meeting will be held in Bratislava from 18. to 20. april 2008.

Invitation from Lausanne

The President of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee, Dušan Simonović and Secretary General Đorđije Kustudić, received invitation from Pere Miro, Director of the Olympic Solidarity to visit headquarters of ths IOC body in Lausanne, in November.
On that occasion, they should be introduced to work of the Olympic Solidarity, and onh the other hand present needs of Montenegrin sports, first of all those in connection to preparation of our repreentatives in Beijing.
