European lobby of the Olympic Games 22.07.2007 Our youth athletes, all of them aged 14 to 17, seemed cheerfull, maybe even unknowingly of the participation on this important event, delighted to wear Montenegrin shirts. They are coming from Kotor, Herceg Novi, Podgorica, Bijelo Polje, Cetinje… This is the biggest sports event whose first edition was in 1991. This year is expected around 3.500 participants from 49 European countries. On the other hand, these are the first Montenegrin Olympians, since, Olympism is not only Olympic Games. We are talking about first competition organised under the patronage of the Olympic institutions, European and Intrenational Olympic Committees, on which Montenegro is participating too. Many champions from the EYOF became also Olympic champions later on. EYOF is European lobby of the Olympic Games. In the moment of closing our paper, we were not able to find out who willhave the honor of carrying the Montenegrin flag tonight on the opening ceremony during the defile in “Arena” hall.
