Yesterday in Podgorica was hel second meeting of representatives of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee and Montenegrin sports federations having their representatives on EYOF, in Belgrade, to be held from 22. to 28. July. Representatives from Judo, Tennis, Table Tennis, Athletic, Swimming and Water/polo Federations were informed about some technical things related to departure on European Youth Olympic Festival, first international sports event on which Montenegrin athletes will compete under the Olympic sign. On yesterday's meeting the word was about possibility to organize joint preparations of our youth athletes. This intention could be opposed by fact that there is no town in Montenegro which could host preparations for all sports. For youth competitors (aged 14 to 17), the Montenegrin Olympic Committe will provide complete sports equipment. Montenegro, whose presence on the Festival was not certain until 24. May, when the Executive Board of the International Olympic Committee gave the green light, wil be represented by 10 judists, 5 athletes, 2 tennis players, 2 swimmers and 4 table-tennis players. We won't have representatives in team sports, because qualification round were held much earlier than it was possible to think about participation of Montenegro. The Montenegrin Olympic Committee will become member of the International Olympic Committee after the decision of its General Assembly to be held in Guatemala City on 6. July. The European Olympic Committee, under which patronage this Festival will be held, and the Organizers had this in mind, and this is the reason why 25 representatives in individual sports from Montenegro were accepted. Representatives from sports federations were asked to consider and propose person who will carry the Montenegrin flag on the Opening ceremony to be held on Partizan stadium on 22. July.
