Today in Podgorica the President of Montenegrin Olympic Committee, Dusan Simonovic, was visited by delegation of Montenegrin Bocce Association: President of Assembly Ljubo Pavlovic, President of Managing Office Mato Krstovic, Secretary of Association Jakov Kokeza and Eduard Gvegovic who is Bocce Association repesentative in Montenegrin Olympic Committee Assembly. Montenegrin Bocce Association has a long tradition. Since 1952, when it was built, their sportsmen have achieved really good results, both home and on foreign soil. Today, this sport gathers many talented sportsmen in Montenegro. The Representatives of Montenegrin Bocce Association let the President of Montenegrin Olympic Committee know about the current situation in the Association, problematic material condition of the Association and their relation with Serbian Bocce Association as well. They also said that bocce players train in really bad conditions – small working space and rooms with quite poor state for professional training and competitions. The only gym for this kind of sport doesn't have dressing rooms, the roof leaks, and it was built more than 30 years ago. Taking this into consideration, the President Dusan Simonovic offered help to the Bocce Association by providing better work conditions and developing this sport further in our country. The Montenegrin Olympic Committee is going to help in financing the gym in Tivat, and ensure all the basic requirements for potential donators. They also agreed that MOC should cooperate in organization of professional curses for trainers and judges, as well as participate in summer camps for young trainers. The President of MOC promised that this Committee will do anything to help developing Montenegrin sports and that they will provide overall good conditions for sportsmen and sports workers. They also mentioned that it is important that Military House in Podgorica becomes Montenegrin Sports House, and that idea was acknowledged by the representatives of Montenegrin Bocce Association. At the end of the meeting, representatives expressed huge graditude to the President of Montenegrin Olympic Committee for his support. They highlighted the importancy of good relations between sports associations and MOC.
