Montenegro men's national water polo team has concluded its time at the Tokyo Olympic Games by placing eighth. Our water polo team was defeated in the match for seventh place by Italy with a total score of 18:17, after penalties. The regular part of the match ended with a draw 14:14. The most efficient in our selection was Aleksandar Ivovic with six goals, Drasko Brguljan and Aleksa Ukropina scored two goals each, while Miroslav Perkovic, Marko Petkovic, Vlado Popadic and Vladan Spaic all scored once. In the penalty stage, Ivovic, Dusan Matkovic and Uros Cuckovic were the only ones precise enough for a goal, with Stefan Vidovic shooting over the goal, while Perkovic hit the crossbar.
