Montenegrin athletes, Daniel Furtula and Tomas Djurovic signed their scholarship agreements today together with the MOC President, Dusan Simonovic, and the President of the Athletic Federation of Montenegro, Gojko Banjevic. Our athletes introduced the MOC's representatives to their plans and programs until the Olympic Games (OG) in Paris and the parties agreed on concrete aspects of support during the preparation for the OG. President Simonovic said the Olympic scholarships were awarded based on the proposals received from Montenegrin sports federations, and the fact that Daniel and Tomas are the best young hopefuls of Montenegrin athletics both for Paris 2024 and Los Angeles 2028. Daniel Furtula, who was in the previous cycle also awarded a scholarship by the Montenegrin Olympic Committee, expressed his gratitude to the Montenegrin Olympic Committee and President Simonovic for his support. "We hope we will justify the expectations and that all will be backed up by our results. I expect we will represent Montenegro at the world's largest competitions, including the next Olympic Games in Paris in 2024". Tomaš Djurovic, a new MOC scholarship holder, pointed out that this form of support meant a lot to him and thanked the MOC for its trust.
