The date when our National Olympic Committee officially became part of the International Olympic family 15 years ago is equally important for the state of Montenegro. Full membership in the Olympic family opened the doors of the international sports scene to our athletes and allowed them to fight and prove their sporting values under the Montenegrin flag. I am confident that the Montenegrin Olympic Committee will, in the decades ahead of us, justify the trust of domestic and international sports workers and the state it represents and will promote new sporting hopefuls to the pride of Montenegro. Due to the obligations I have, unfortunately, I am not in position to congratulate you in person. I share the joy of this jubilee with you, of which we are all proud of, and offer my warmest regards to all participants of the ceremony, wishing that all the efforts invested up to this moment will be a springboard for future successes".
