INTERPOL and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) continue to implement a global capacity building project and training to strengthen operational capacity regarding manipulation of sports competitions and related corruption. From October 4th to October 6th, 2022, INTERPOL organised a Regional Workshop for law enforcement, government, and sports organisations in Skopje. In addition to Northern Macedonia, the Workshop was attended by selected delegations from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Greece, Montenegro, and Serbia. To strengthen regional and international cooperation in solving problem pertaining to the manipulation of sports competitions, apart from the representatives of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the Workshop was also attended by the representatives of the Basketball Federation, the Football Association, and the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro.
