On the last day of the GSSE in Malta, Montenegrin representatives won four more medals, concluding their performance with a total of 19 medals - five gold, six silver, and eight bronze. In the farewell, the sailors excelled - Milivoj Dukić won gold, and Ilija Marković won silver. Today's two regattas did not take place due to weak wind. Dukić and Marković held the first two positions from the second day of the competition, demonstrating their unrivaled performance at this level. "We had good regattas, although the wind was quite weak throughout these days, and it was variable. There was a possibility that some of the competitors we didn't count on, who are objectively weaker, could interfere in the medal race under these conditions. However, we took this competition seriously and won medals. This can be considered as good training at the beginning of an exciting summer, culminating in the World Championship in The Hague in August," said Dukić. "I am satisfied with both the medal and the sailing. We held the first two positions in conditions that favored some 'lighter' sailors, but we reacted well and rejected all their attempts," said Marković. Gold went, as expected, to the women's basketball team, who won the final match against Luxembourg 74-61. It was uncertain for three quarters; the Luxembourg team gave a hard time to the "Reds," who, however, quickly gained a nine-point advantage (62-53) with an 11-0 run in the final stages of the third and the beginning of the last period, overcoming a two-point deficit. The opponents did not give up; they fought until the end but couldn't jeopardize our team's victory, who finished the match smoothly. Milica Jovanović scored 23 points, and Jelena Vučetić scored 19 for the Montenegrin team, which had excellent support from our rugby players, bronze medalists, during the final. The match for the third place in the men's basketball tournament between Montenegro and Cyprus did not take place because our team had only four players available. After last night's controversial duel with Malta, three basketball players received match suspensions (Petar Kusovac, Nenad Vuković, Bogdan Bojić), and Zdravko Bošković, Miloš Krivokapić, Miloš Vujović, and Marko Kljajević were injured, so only Balša Živanović, Filip Anđušić, Pavle Đurišić, and Viktor Vujisić appeared for warm-up. The match was registered as 20-0 in favor of Cyprus. Filip Radović was defeated in the semifinals of the table tennis tournament at the Games of the Small States of Europe, by Malta's representative Felix Wetzel - 3:0. By reaching the semifinals, Radović secured a bronze medal. In the group stage, Filip achieved three victories against Mladenović from Luxembourg (3:1), Geminiani from Monaco (3:2), and Giardi from San Marino (3:1), and in the quarterfinals, he defeated Malta's representative Prokopcov (3:2). "I performed at a high level in individual competition, and I didn't expect a medal because some countries hired well-known European players to compete for them. I defeated several guys who are better than me, and in the semifinals, I wasn't at the level I can be, although Wetzel is realistically better. If I had been at my maximum level, I would have put up a better fight. Now I have a tournament in Zagreb ahead of me, then a short break, and preparations for the European Para Table Tennis Championship in Sheffield in early September. The goal is, of course, to qualify for the Paralympic Games. I performed at a high level in three qualification tournaments, and I am currently ranked second on the list. Now I need to maintain my position among the top five for direct qualification to Paris," said Radović. Radović also won a bronze medal in the double’s competition with Filip Radulović. On the final day of the Games, athlete Amir Papazi also competed in the javelin throw, finishing fourth with a distance of 63.56.
