The third edition of the European Games, a kind of Olympic festival on the continent, will commence on June 21 with the Opening ceremony at the Henryk Reyman Stadium in Krakow. After its premiere in Baku in 2015, followed by the Games in Minsk four years ago, over 6,500 athletes will compete in Poland, specifically in Lesser Poland (Malopolska), a province with Krakow as its centre, a city with over 700,000 inhabitants. They will compete in 29 sports, mostly individual, with ten sports having significant value - an Olympic qualification for Paris 2024. The Montenegrin delegation consists of ten representatives.
