On the first day of competition at the European Athletics Team Championships Third League, held in Poland as part of the European Games, the best result was achieved by Kristina Rakočević, who won third place in discus throw, while Vesna Kljajević narrowly missed the podium, finishing in fourth place in shot put. Overall, Montenegrin athletes ended the first day of competition with a total of 65 points, ranking 12th out of 14 national teams after 12 out of 37 disciplines. Kristina Rakočević achieved 51.87 meters in discus throw, while Vesna Kljajević threw the shot put 14.24 meters. As the ninth-place finishers, Ognjen Marsenić in the 100-meter race (11.09) and Ana Bošković in hammer throw (43.67) completed their performances. Slađana Pejović finished tenth in the 5,000-meter race (18:57.51), followed by Anabela Mujović in the 400 meters (58.86) and Miljan Kukuličić in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (10:55.53). Matija Vojvodić ranked 13th in the triple jump with a result of 12.67 meters, and Nemanja Đurišić also took the same position in the 800-meter race (2:04.60). Dragan Pešić had the 14th fastest time in the 400 meters (51.98), and Anđela Drobnjak achieved the same placement in the 100-meter race (12.81). Miloš Popović failed to place in the pole vault after knocking down the bar three times at three meters and seventy centimetres. After the first day of competition, Austria is in the leading position with 159 points, followed by the Republic of Ireland with 156 points and Israel with 131 points. Tomorrow, on the second day of competition, Darko Pešić (110 hurdles), Dragan Pešić (400 hurdles), Nemanja Đurišić (1,500 meters), Danijel Furtula (discus and hammer throw), Matija Vojvodić (long jump), Maša Bubanja (100 hurdles), Mia Milašinović (400 hurdles), Slađana Pejović (800 meters), and Ljiljana Matović (triple jump) will compete.
