Andjela Berisaj was unable to complete the sensation and win a medal at the European Games. Although her participation confirmed her exceptional talent, it was not enough to secure her first senior career medal in fierce competition, where she was stopped by the last two world champions. Andjela reached the quarterfinals of the taekwondo tournament at the European Games in the 73-kilogram category, defeating German representative Alema Hadzic in the first round. Hadzic was the fourth seed in the championship. Andjela won with a score of 2-0 (4-0, 8-6). The young Montenegrin competitor continued her success in the quarterfinals, defeating Polish athlete Marcelina Kosel 2-1 (0-5, 5-2, 6-4), setting up a fight for the final against Nadezda Bozanic from Serbia, the 2022 world champion. Unfortunately, Andjela was unable to reach the final of the tournament as she was defeated by the representative from Serbia with a score of 2-0 (5-1, 13-6). The battle for the bronze turned out to be the toughest, as her opponent was an icon of taekwondo - the current world and European champion, as well as a bronze medallist at the Tokyo Olympics, French athlete Althea Laurin. Laurin emerged victorious with a score of 2-0 (11-2, 15-1).
