Workshops on female athlete health and safeguarding in sports were held from March 6th to March 8th in Brussels. The event was organized by the European Olympic Committees (EOC), the EOC EU Office, and the Belgian Olympic Committee. Representatives from the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Olympic Solidarity, The Well HQ, and the Thomas More Institute led workshops and presentations. Representatives from 24 European National Olympic Committees attended the event, which concluded on International Women's Day. The workshops focused on improving understanding of NOCs' obligations and work on gender equality and protecting female athletes’ health. On Friday, the final conference of the GAMES project was held, focusing on improving gender equality in leadership positions in national Olympic committees. Representative of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee, Maja Peković, participated in panel discussions, focusing on various initiatives carried out by the Montenegrin and Austrian National Olympic Committees and the next steps for the EOC, in line with the Strategic Agenda 2030. She also presented recommendations for the "EOC Safeguarding Framework," developed by the EOC's cross-commission working group, which she chaired.
