At yesterday's meeting, as part of continuous efforts to enhance the education and professional development of athletes in Montenegro, the Montenegrin Olympic Committee and the University of Donja Gorica signed an agreement that marks a turning point in the cooperation between the academic community and the sports sector, creating a new era of opportunities for athletes and experts in sports. This agreement aims to facilitate and deepen cooperation in all areas of sports education, including implementing national and international projects, promoting sports education, and supporting dual careers for athletes. Special emphasis is placed on educating students and athletes from senior premier leagues and national teams. This initiative is even more significant considering that, in addition to the MOC, agreements have also been signed with the Basketball Federation, Handball Federation, Volleyball Federation, Karate Federation, Judo Federation, Women's Handball Club Budućnost, Handball Club Lovćen, and Volleyball Club Budućnost. The UDG provides 40 scholarships for professional athletes from these federations and clubs within these agreements. This agreement symbolizes Montenegro's commitment to the development of sports and education and encourages young athletes to balance their sporting and academic ambitions. It indicates how sports can be a powerful tool for social and personal development and contribute to creating a better future for the youth in Montenegro.
